More than 9500 visitors (children, youth and families) participated in Massar Summer Event 2010 under the slogan (Choose Your Path) between 12 and 15 July 2010 at Almalab Albaladi Garden. The event offers various interactive activities, introducing Massar and its programmes to young people and their families. 

The activities aimed at engaging Homs community, especially young people between 6 and 15 years old, in an interactive environment. The event was organised in collaboration with Homs Governorate, and involved volunteers and media, as Massar’s permanent partners.

Massar launched the event on the 11^th of July 2010 with a press conference, that was followed by a media roundtable. A group of journalists, young people and NGOs participated in the media roundtable under the title of (Activating the Voice of {Young People in Syrian Media), the roundtable is a part of The Syria Trust for Development’s engagement plan. The roundtable resulted in identifying some difficulties that preventing young people from activating their voices in media, and some suggestions to overcome these difficulties.
