Two events took place at the new prototype centre. This pre-fabricated building is next to the Discovery centre site. It will be heavily utilised in the future for evaluation and prototyping activities for the Discovery Centre in addition to many interactive workshops for young people, families, media etc
The first event was Massar interactive lighting workshop for 20 of Basma’s children and their families on the creative usage and application of light. The workshop coincided with a full month of activities for Children with cancer organized by Basma and was delivered by members of the SVA company\UK on 17 Feb 2010.
The other event was Massar presentation to a high level Danish parliamentary delegation on Massar and the Damascus Discovery Centre building, followed by a visit to the construction site.
The prototyping centre will start soon to host many other activities that aim at involving young people from all over Syria, in addition to the content’s evaluation of Damascus Discovery Centre.
