One activity during the Damascus Foundation Event was “make your own instrument”, we gave the choice to young people to take the instrument home or donate it to under-privileged kids.

90 young people chose to donate their instruments and we chose to partner with the “Drop of Milk” foundation to give the instruments to the young people they support. These are poor kids with special needs (e.g. down-syndrome, hearing or vision impairment, autism). We organised two music sessions with 80 kids who came with their families to the Drop of Milk premises and engaged in a music therapy session to express themselves through music.

Every kid received a gift bag from Massar including one instrument made by the young people of Damascus event with their name on it. The remaining 10 instruments were donated to the library of the Drop of Milk for other kids to benefit from and enjoy.
